Early Childhood Development
I have lived in Sherwood for over 40 years and taught Early Childhood over 20 years! Wow how time flies! It all began at a local preschool where I found myself teaching half day preschool. I designed - and implemented (teacher and administrator) - the school's first full day preschool program and it grew from there. Before leaving the school, they were offering a half-day 3's and 4's program as well as a full day Pre-K program.
I started Busy Bugs Country Preschool with the idea that I wanted to offer children the opportunity to explore God’s creation while giving them the highest quality Pre-K curriculum. I love seeing a child’s face light up with knowledge! My joy is helping each child explore something new and my goal is to make priceless memories with them each and every day. I believe that it is important to show them the world God created for us to explore, enjoy and care for and I take that responsibility seriously.
I currently live in Sherwood with my family of four. I have enjoyed working in Early Childhood Education for 12 years and have found a great home with Amie Jones for the last four.
I helped to create Busy Bugs Country Preschool because I believe children should be offered high quality Art and Spanish opportunities in early childhood. I love showing them new art mediums and teaching some beautiful new language.
Amie Jones and I have the same philosophy about teaching small children. We strive to give them as many opportunities to experience the creation God has provided us and prepare them for the next step in their education.

As an Oregon Native I currently live in Tigard with my family of four. I worked at Intel for many years but it was when my children started preschool that I met Amie Jones. I was given the amazing opportunity to work with her and her caring, patient, and compassionate program.
I love being part of this program with the goal that each and every child can reach their individual best. I love helping each child reach as high as they can and learn as much as they can while here!
Our philosophies are aligned. We want each child to learn as much as they can so when they enter Kindergarten they will be prepared to settle in with ease, making the transition to whatever school they are headed to, enjoyable.

Administrative Assistant
I have worked in Administration for the past 40 years. I have been fortunate to work with Amie Jones and Early Childhood for the past 10 years. I am proud to have raised four amazing children here in Oregon and have five fantastic grandchildren.
I love working with children and helping keep the school running smoothly. I believe that Amie and her team offer the children amazing opportunities to learn curriculum and about Jesus and am proud to be part of the school.
